Well, I downloaded a program of interest off of a site, it was a standard .exe. Well I always scan whatever I download and my antivirus said no threats were detected. So I ran the program and it dissappeared, well obviously I thought this was a virus and popped up my antivirus and begn scaning for threats. Nothing so far has happened, and my antivirus is disinfecting everything, but Im still worried. The only weird thing that has happened is when I try to type, sometimes the keys wont register, even when I press them very hard. Any suggestions on what to do would be helpful.

What was the program intended to do? And what do you mean disappeared, the exe was moved/deleted? The program opened and closed?

Have you tried searching your pc for the .exe?

System Restore doesnt restore files btw.

Hahaha, you got owned. You should wipe your hard drive to zeros, reinstall your operating system, and not download programs of that nature. You've most likely picked up a keylogger worm.

Ok, it appears to be one of those stupid viruses that spams pop ups on your browser and says your comp is infected and tries to download shitty spyware antivirus programs. I needed a serial for a game I bought, because I threw away the outer case which had the cd-key on it. I have panda anti virus, and when i scanned it it said it was fine. When I ran it, it dissappeared off of my desktop. My antivirus says my protection is high and everything is fine, and everything is working properly, it just keeps trying to download stupid antiviruses and spamming pop ups. Also my system restore only restores to the day I got the virus, not before, please help.

Seems that its fixed, I had a keylogger, and some trojans, plus malware. Computer is running fine now, but my comp has automatic updates, a little secruirity notice keeps popping up saying its off and my comp may be at risk, but when i check, everyhting is on and working fine. Im going to work for 5 hours, and when I come back, if its still alright, ill leave it alone and sleep on it.

I use panda and when my cousin downloaded a similar file to my computer, panda designated it as a virus file and changed the extension to .vir. It must just be a really bad file you downloaded. Also if you want a game serial, don't download a kegen. Just get it from a website. My RC case has the serial right on it, not on the box.

Evidently spybot deleted a module thats very important, and is making my computer crash at random times. Its not the subject of getting it back that worries me, because I can use the recovery system on spybot, but its the whole reason of WHY it got deleted. Its classified under virutmonde.prix, which means it was considered an adware. I shall display the name of the module, but most likely Ill be forced to recover it, regardless of condition.

Just reformat, and your desktop is crowded..

Back up some files on a DVD and then just reformat, that way you KNOW you don't gots a virus or spybot.

Uh dude, spybot deletes viruses. Its not some sort of spyware. Also no point, as the file is right there, and my comp is fine, except for this missing file. The trouble Im having is if I should restore it, because I wont know what itll do, For some odd reason it was classified as adware, but it may have something to do with its function, so thats why I was asking on here what this module does. Also on the subject of the cd key for RC, I have that starwars the best of pc, and the only game i want to install right now is republic commando, but the cd for it is on the box, not the actual case, which I threw out long ago. I was bored and was digging through my room and found it and just wanted to give it another go.

What the hell is pfkunico? You just have some junk left over in the registry from the virus. Go to start, run. Type regedit. Click Hkey_Local_Machine > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Run. There should be something listed in there with a name similar to the missing dll. Delete it. Don't delete anything else or you'll fuck shit up.
