Yes I can : D. Was up in Maine today and I happened to stumble upon a gun store. I decided to look around for a bit, found some wicked nice mossbergs and few sexy bushmaster m4's. Then I happened to see behind the counter a nice little display of antique firearms. After looking through a few relatively unknown ww2 era rifles I was about to leave when I saw a few Mosin Nagants sitting in the corner. The guy handed me one. Hot damn. All matching serial numbers, great condition, made in 1945 and even has the hammer and sickle stamped on the receiver :p. And had an authentic sling still on it. Asked how much, he said $150....sold. Taking it to the range next week to have some fun :D. Suck it Ross .

Also I'm interested in seeing what other people have so feel free to post any of your firearms/bb guns/airsoft guns.

You mean it reminds you of a WWII era rifle, not a video game, right?

Wow, that's pretty cool, now go and take out Modacity's Admins and take over not shoot anybody whatsoever...yeah...

Yeah... it does. Does it bother you that it also reminds me of a historical-fiction videogame based on WWII that includes many authentic looking weapons? :confused2:

Yes. The real thing came first. :p

Very nice rifle indeed. You have the M44 variant of the Mosin Nagant. The M1891/30 is full length, the M38 is that size, and the M44 is what you have; it's basically an M38 with a bayonet.

Personally, I'm a fan of WWI era weapons. If I ever get an MN, I am going to make sure its the M1891 version.

Yes that is correct >_>. Personally i prefer the M44 over the M1891/30. I like the shorter length.

Yes, it does. For the reason Warsaw said. That would be like me seeing a damn SPAS 12 and going 'wow its that gun from Half-Life'

It just sounds childish.

Um... ok. I just didn't think I would receive scrutiny for something so insignificant...

Airsoft is for kiddies.

I throw rocks at children with airsoft guns.

Nice. I have an Echo 1 m14 that's about 320fps and a Dboys AK-74u that's 400fps. took the 74u to an all night game and it kicked ass.

Also picked up some 7.62 rounds. Now time to go blow shit up ^_^

True... true. The Mosin has that old fashioned charm that makes it so cool.

Acually, it's the fact that it's a real, old, functional gun. However, it'd be so much cooler if it shot out mini pies...

Well yeah, but one of the things that sets it apart from other guns is the fact that it is a old and functional gun (like what Hotrod said)

So is a musket.:eyesroll: A Mosin Nagant isn't significantly older then modern rifles. A smoothbore musket on the other hand...is.

Which is what SnaF's point was. So you proved yourself wrong using Hotrod's statement.

it's 60+ years old and it's a bad ass rifle. I don't particularly like the look of muskets, I also don't enjoy taking a minute to reload before I can blow something up again >_>

Muskets are more like fireworks then projectile weapons...The Mosin beats it by a mile.

the rifle's design itself dates back to before 1891, though ;)

So finally took it out today and I think I'm in love ^_^. It's a beast. Unfortunately no watermelons but we took an old refrigerator we found in the woods and shot the shit out of it. Also forgot my camera, we were in a hurry to waste all the ammo before the rain came. But when I get more ammo I'll take some videos :) <3 Russia.
