Hi, I'm having some troubles. I have two laptops, both connected via wireless internet. They are both connected to the same wireless hub. One of the laptops always gets a "Network Connection Lost" error after 30-100 seconds in any online game I join, the other is fine. I want to simply host a game on that one, and have the other laptop join for some 1v1. I was getting that same error for a while. Now I can't even join the other computer. Ok, this is getting sort of messy, So I'll clarify:
Lap1: Connected to my "2WIRE" connection.
Windows XP SP2
"Network Connection Lost" error
Lap2: Connected to same "2WIRE"
Vista
Works fine in all online situations.
Another problem I have is that when I create a game, on either of these computers, Halo PC uses that Local Network IP, the 192.168.1.x, for both, and servers do not show up, and only direct IP (would) work. Which should I try hosting the game on, what can I try to do to fix it? I tried turning firewalls off on Lap1, that didn't help with the weird error. Also, Lap1 used to be able to connect to any game just fine.
E: And whenever I go to an IP test site, it tells me both lappies have the exact same IP (not the same 192.168.1.x).
Sorry if this needs to go in tech.
