Corrupt, everything is on this PC. Help me :(

Ok so the eve installer and all other installers think they are corrupt, only thing different is the eve installer gives me a .txt which describes, in some manner, an error report. Or the .txt thats sent to microsoft, which isnt such a good idea seeing as their not gonna give a shit.

That, or it just needs to be reformatted due to some glitch. That would probably be the best way to fix it.

Also im stuck on 76% corrrupt installed for Ubuntu, yet im running it and i cant reformat with the windows boot cd. I dont know what exactly it says in german but it just doesnt wanna reformat. Basically im fucked.

Have you tried to put in the Windows XP disk and repairing files?

Run a integrity check on all the system files, its also on the Windows XP disk.

Insert disk, start > run > "SFC/scannow"

Either A.) your Ubuntu download got corrupted when you downloaded it in Windows or B.) it can't read your hard drive because the hard drive itself is fucked. Either way, it's not a problem with the Ubuntu OS. It has something to do with your computer and/or Windows.

Sounds to me like you should just get a new hard drive.

One of the hard drives that I did not re-format (250gb), because it had backup files and important files to keep such as installers, music, and other important documents such as e-mails that need to be kept, well that HD had a virus on it so I took it out replaced it with a 30gb hard drive my dad had laying around and reformatted the original hard drive and use the 30gb for ubuntu now.

Everything works! Thanks for all the help, btw a friend had a spare copy of an uncorrupted ubuntu laying around and I'm running it alongside windows.
