Just finished watching it... God, if you watch it, just make sure you don't take it seriously. It's JUST like the first one, shotty acting, effects, and pretty much everything else. You can't focus on that though, you have to focus on the fact that it's STARSHIP TROOPERS, and that it is AWESOME.

I personally thought it was hilarious, the action scenes were decent, but everything else was just LOL.

I'm going to have to say, it's a definite watch if you actually enjoyed the first one...

For those idiots that think this is a BAD movie:

You really have to watch this movie for the lulz, you can't actually watch it and expect it to be a "good" Sci-Fi... Starship Troopers is basically a big parody/joke tbh.

I have just one question: why the FUCK does that gun never have a set purpose? In the first movie, it was an ubergun that shot explosives. In the game, it was a shotgun that had an uber shotgun alt fire, and in this movie, it's an assault rifle. Which is it people?

In the book they hardly ever use guns. With their powered armor they basically use flame throwers and missiles/bombs/grenades. :|

In fact I think the only time they mention guns or using them is in Basic Training.

I enjoyed the first one, but I saw it a while ago... reminded me of halo lmao, but like, more cheesy, with some comedy, and spoof like.

The second one... nudity, thats about it, and it didn't connect with the first one at all, so I watched it and was just like, what the fucks going on, they defend a tower the entire movie on some random planet, the director like refused to spend money on new sets/locations and only made one... the tower.

The third one?!?... O_O they made a third one? lol. Sounds like I'll like it since I enjoyed the first one, and it sounds like it forms to the first one better anyway, the 2nd one was like, a side story or something.

But yea, info on the books would be nice, are they pretty good or what? Better then the movies?

The movies are nothing like the book, in fact they satirize it. I really wish I could find the Anime version of it (http://www.trooperpx.com/Internat/imginter/SSTManga/CoverA1.gif) but the closest I found was Blue Gender...still good though.
