Here's my entry. Latest work at top.
Latest, near final renders. Lengthened the gun, changed the inside, tweaked the nose, added a few bits and pieces.
7494 tris.

Wireframes: Don't mind the extra verts on the wheels, I created those to set an axes to use when I was posing them. They don't count. Think of them as the Grand Galactic Inquisitors of verticess.

Semi - finished model: I'll probably change the nose, but I wish I could have added more detail overall :(
I'll continue the model outside of the contest later.

Wheel V1
http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee6/TheExAm/Picture171.png
Concept: Electric, Independently driven, computer controlled wheel assemblies with hydraulic dampened torque spring suspension mounted offset, to provide inherent up/down wheel travel, remote turret on top. Axel itself is fixed, hollow inside for the power supply wires. The drive gear inside is not a gear per se, more like a clutch pressure plate in drum form. Pressure is variable, to allow for disengagement if needed. What the hell, it's amphibious too :P
Don't mind the exhaust pipe on there, I forgot that it was electric and put that on :gonk:
