You can use any resolution for a model's texture. That doesn't mean the game you want to run it on will accept it. Good to hear Bungie worked around the whole power of two thing.

Haha, that sniper melee is great. Not sure if the barrel would be able to hold after you hit someone/thing with it though, but that's the great thing about animating, you can do whatever the hell you want.

That sniper fire animation looks ridiculously overly powerful. I don't think you should be able to see the bottom of the scope in a fire anim. It's just to high. The melee looks interesting. Its a little bit abstract and unrealistic in the sense that in a real situation you would probably never do that, (I can just see the gun misfiring when you hit) but that seems to be your style, so thats cool. When he brings it back, (when hes holding the scope with his right hand and moving his left back from the barrel) it sort of comes to a stop that makes the animation seem too segmented and that messes with the flow. Other than that very cool. but if you were REALLY cool you'd let me use the H3 rig :awesome:

Yeah, because of the way I animated it, it makes it hard to go back to make timing tweaks. Although, I do intend to fix it. It's more of a "post-processing" thing, so to speak. (I have to export the animation, re-import it, and use the time rescaler).

I get that problem when I do animations with multiple constraint switches and such. If you go back and move the frames, the constraint timing changes and it just fucks the whole animation.

How does the distortion look from a 3rd person perspective? Wouldn't the invisible object have a different angle and therefore not have the right effect?

The first person and third person distortion effects are independent of each other.

It's not so much the angle but the location in which it spawns. That's why we're debating on keeping it in. We've been playing with some ideas to fix the problem.

In Halo 1, the gauge doesn't turn full red when it's charged(it's still a rainbow, so to speak), and it just instantaneously goes down as soon as you fire it.
Also, why does the green lighting from the charge still remain for a few seconds after you fire it? Yes, I'm looking at the Halo 3 flag.

The overheating plasma would give off light too, once it's finished overheating the light is gone.

Looks like a light behind the radar because it dissapeares when he fires because the arm covers it.

Yes, it is. When the weapon initially fires, the screen moves. When the screen moves, the radar moves with it. The dot on the radar does not.

The ammo meter flashes red when you have low ammo in your magazine. The entire red gradient flashes red when you have low total ammo.

The steam would probably be coming out at some speed though, so it wouldnt really go upwards all of the time.. and no one knows the density of plasma steam. So technically it could go down.
Also, why is the biped motionless? The white one you are looking near.
