Ok I got this SJ to work fine on vista however a friend of mine is having a bit of trouble. Heres some details that I've gathered.

1) He's using windows XP

2) Sightjacker doesn't work and he says he gets a briefly lived messagebox at the lower right of the screen (where xfire boxes usually go). I thought it may be interference with xfire but when I tested it there was no problem.

3) When I try to send him the sightjacker via xfire he says it gets turned into a .DLL :confused:

Any ideas?

Very weird. First make sure he updates his virusscanner and do a full scan. Also scan for malware, spyware, etc etc.

Does it say it detected halo? Does it even start? = What exactly happens, after you double click on the .exe?

Im also haveing a little trouble too. I can't get it to work ether, it says "Your version of halo is not supported" but i can change it all i want. version 1.09 to 1.08 ect.
If you have xfire and may beable to help add me as a friend plz, red1331. Im Rcon so i need help asap!

If I understand this right, the app only works on 1.08pc right now but not 1.09pc. If you're on 1.09 and using version changer then you're still actually using the 1.09 executable but accessing different server lists, so trying to use version changer to make the app work won't yield any results.

You'll need to get the 1.08 files for Halo and use version changer with that. This way, all your 1.08 apps will still work. Can anyone confirm?

Yeah, you need to have the .exe version of the apps you want to use, then use the version changer to get the server list of the other version. For example, if you have a 1.07 app but all of your favorite servers are on 1.09, you update Halo till 1.07, then use the version changer to get to 1.09.
