Have you seen how small his head is compared to his body? It looks really weird :P hes definitely built for swimming.

Hes one dedicated man.

I don't care for any athletic events/people much (I'm probably one of about three people in the world who aren't that excited about the Olympics), but I do have to admit this guy's damn good at what he does.

And he comes from mah country, so I can't help but feel some satisfaction. :awesome:

Never mind the calories, whats fascinating to me is how he can perform so well with all that poop inside him. I wonder if he times his meals so he can schedule a massive dump before he swims - hitting the pool before he hits the pool, so to speak.

Haha that cracked me up.

I still find it very impressive with what he's able to accomplish. Swimming the way he is isn't an easy task. Props to him for his accomplishments. Now go get some more gold medals! :)

wooo go America!

Also, I can't remember his name right now (I'll go figure it out and come back with it), but my mom babysat for one of the American gymnasts- the son of the astronaut- when he was a little kid. She says he was the extremely energetic jumping-all-over-the-place type. XD

Chinese have especially dominated in competitions with judges.
I don't care if they're the hosts, that shouldn't be the reason they get through games.

I don't care if they're the hosts, that shouldn't be the reason they get through games. You forget they are Chinese, there is 1.3 billion. The Chinese government selects them when they are very young, and literally the only purpose of their early lives is to train for the Olympics. They have no job but to train and perfect their skills. The fact that they are in Bejing only makes them compete stronger, and their numbers are about the same as USA team (about 600 something on both sides). These are extremely experienced, extremely disciplined athletes.

Boxing hits are only counted with a square hit to the body with the white part of the glove. Its weird compared to what is considered normal boxing where all punches are considered.

The Brits were quite amazing in the boating events though. If they work on the sprint at the end, they can take back the 'trophy' from Australia and New Zealand. USA was just...no...at those (except women's single sculls).
