Ok, I enter my key into the server:

live key 12345-abcde-12345-abcde-1235

it says ok
but when I type live key again, it says "Missing product key"

and then when I type status:
Current state: offline - product key required.

I tried 2 different keys and the same thing happens, any ideas?

Turn of your Firewall maybe. ^^

Forward ports through a router (if you have one)
Need administration...
There could be many reason but the one thing is that SOMETHING is blocking it access to the Internet.

One major think to check is that you have all the latest updates. live and server updates..

I doubt it's a problem with admin rights or the instance would not run.

May be a frirewall problem. Forward port 3074 udp in your router to your server pc and open that port on your firewall also.
