We don't hate the website. Halomaps.org (the site itsself, not the forum) hase long been a massive part of the community, and I think we all admire what must frankly be superhuman dedication to run it. The problem starts with the majority of the people there.

I replied to some of that, telling Grunt Killer 29/_______ to "take his sh*y somewhere else and leave our forums" in several threads, because I was sick of it.

Dennis, if your reading this, Im sorry for the foul language, but what you created to help this community, you couldnt handle it. You wanted the "moderator and adminship" to you and only your associates. If you would of done what modacity (formally h2vista.net) did, by making regular old timer members mods or admins, you would have been not on all the time, and you could have people cutting down the spam after spam. But you holded the power, for the fear of users ruining the site. TheGhost had to do this too, and look what happened. Only a couple incidents happened, while halomaps has over 100s.

May I suggest that your policy for mods and admins be taken down, and rewritten to accommodate regular old members of your forums to become mods or admins. If that is too "easy" for you, have them make resumes, and make sure they're trust worthy.

Well most of Halomaps is used for downloading things made by people. So i wouldn't really care if the forum didn't ever come up (most of the WIP were half ass worked projects). I did like when people posted positive things. I mean there were alot of people on that site that just flamed and wanted only renders. Several people though were kind enough to help others out, posted crit that wasn't too harsh, and created threads that were very useful. I really liked the forum in the past when people were actually acting like human beings more than spam hogs, but even the most popular thing has to fall.

While normally I would say something to the effect of "Good Riddance", I still feel bad that someone went and spammed the site with gay porn considering how much Dennis has done for the HCE community over the past couple of years. Without Halomaps there wouldn't be as large of a community as there is today. Yes, the forum sucked cock but spamming the site with gay porn wasn't the best way of trying to fix the issue =/.

I hope the forums don't come back because none of those idiots will ever learn how to "behave" responsibly on a forum. Hell, they never learn anything except how to respond to criticism with excessive amounts of foul language anyway. If large amounts of the noobs come then maybe some of the boards (mainly the HCE and H2V ones) could be locked out to members below a certain post or rep count?
