We're building a new place, about half the drywall is done but I'd like to get the layout for my room done before we move in. Anyways, I'm sucky at interior design and such. Make it better than jcaps room :awesome:
PSD File here: http://con.modacity.net/layout.psd

If you're too lame for the PSD, the white objects are rolling storage, the grey rectangle is a drafting table, which I just use to put my shit on right now, the two shelves are in tan, and the brown one is the dresser. The ruler is in ft.

The file contains the items I have in my room right now, but the challenge for you guys is to add an entertainment center; ie, stereo, surround sound, 360/ps2, Plasma TV and PVR. I also need a place for my computer, printer and workspace. The DVI between the closet and the corner of the room is if I want to use a TV in the closet or something or in the corner and connect it to my computer for watching movies, or using as a secondary monitor. You'll have to help me figure that out. I was hoping I could use the surround sound for both the computer and the TV, but since they're likely to be in different areas of the room that wont work--I'll need a solution for that as well. Anyway, the best design gets a rep prize and <3's

DVI is cheaper by the foot without being shitty VGA

Fuck that, Display port.

In fact, fuck ethernet, put some fibre optic hookups in there.

(you could do what I am doing with my place and just 3D all your shit up and place it like that. Yes, it requires lots of measurement but it's the easiest way to organize the place without relying on other people or moving shit around 10 times before you find a spot you like).

Yeah so, can I throw out this drafting table?

Also, you're getting a single bed, not like anyone else uses that double besides you. :haw:

Also also, how tall is this all this shit?

Cheap cables. Look around anywhere BUT the mega electronics stores, they only sell those uber expensive Monster Cables. No real difference between the two with today's HD.

The cables nor the bed are changing. The drafting table can be removed though goat.

The shelves are pretty tall, 7-8 feet or something. The rolling units can fit under the drafting table, and are just shorter than the dresser. Everything else is just standard size.
