CSS Could give you an idea, but Zombies in Halo 1 or 2, gets annoying when you have people join and do whatever they want, i was working on a script to force you to go blue when killed, then got side tracked :-3

Common Sense Sucka ?

a good zombie map would be like in Halflife two zombie where you have to push obstacles behind doors and stuff like that... but making physics for objects (making them vehicles) causes major lag... and hinge physics for doors... thats out the question.

Look at the elements of Snow Grove that make it a popular infection map:

shotgun rooms, open areas, narrow areas, multiple levels, strongholds, escape routes, hiding spots, and high-up camping spots

put them together in an interesting way, keeping in mind the type of gameplay people enjoy in infection. Sometimes people get bored of waiting for the zombies, and want to venture out: in snow grove, people cross the middle in groups just to look for zombies. These little activities make it fun. It also needs to be fun for the zombies, people hate dying all the time. Think of ways to make it easier for the alpha zombie, so that the playing field is level no matter how many people are on either team. Give it a good backstory and atmosphere and you're good to go!

Serious cat is right.

Definetly agreeing with the narrow areas and maybe add barricadable areas?.. but this is Halo CE so forget about that.

If you can make some crates that are just vehicles without seats, you can melee them into the doorways. It's not like vehicles are used in zombies anyway.

Units of What!?! We can't tell you how many unit of something if we don't know what your trying to get units of!

And the reason I said your grammar sucked is because i read your post 3 times over and i didn't even get the slightest glimmer of comprehension from it!

And also don't bump/double post unless the topic is unanswered for at least 3 or 4 days.

Why would you need someone to tell you a preset size for your map? Visualize what you want in your mind. Draw it out in paint or something and then begin to model. Having a preset size is chaining your design down which you should never do.

We're not here to design your map for you. If you can't take the time to do that yourself, then you shouldn't be making maps. Do what wanksta says, draw it in paint. Making maps isn't about just modeling them and such. Also, clean up your posting--this isn't a chat room.

You don't have to be able to model to think of ideas.

Welcome to my boat.

Seriously, think of a layout using Conscars's guidelines, and draw it in paint, or on paper. When you've got something, start modelling. Don't worry about textures, theming (human/covenant/forerunner), or aesthetics in general yet. Get a feel for the map creation process and then start to worry about the finer details.

well, IG is working on an application to greatly assist zombie servers like for example; zombies will have auto depleated weapons and grenades plus hopefully we'll be enforcing the teams appropiately among other useful options, hopefully this can help you...?

A base in the Forerunner style of architecture?
