I'm finished with High School, and I'm taking a year off before I go to post-secondary... I basically have all summer to do, stuff... I drove home from a friends party this morning and noticed all the kids going to school, I actually felt REALLY out of place NOT going...
...
I'm bored.

get a job.
no srsly, I have two part time jobs and one full time job (or had over the summer; now they're all part time), and it kept me occupied and productive, and the best part: so far I've been able to pay most of my college debt.

In Germany every boy has to go to the army after finishing school...but since I'm left winged I'm not going to do that brainless shit but do something social instead. So my 1 year between finishing school and going to university is already bridged >.> *GG*
Anyway, if you have money pursue you dreams, otherwise get a job.

I had considered taking a year off, but I think I just barely made it into University, so I don't want to chance it. Yeah, I went up to visit my friends still at high school today, and it certainly seemed odd. Either get a job, or go hitch-hiking across Europe, or start some big project or something. Just don't waste a year at home in front of the computer.

I suggest you dont go abroad for a holiday/round the world trip/road trip etc. Sure its good to do it, it'll be fun but you will get out of the mindset of working, if you sit around doing not much, when its time to go to university, it will be a big hit, you will suddelny have a ton of work and not be prepared.
Thats why I didnt take a gap year, I didnt want to spend a year doing hardly anything then suddenly go to a time where I need to do the best and most work.

this.
or go back in time and actually go to a school, any school. Seriously, I'm bored already because I stayed home and all my friends left (going to community college) I can't imagine just not going to school. I'd end up doing nothing...
