So i just bought a new phone today (LG enV2. (http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=1558) Got it for an extremely cheap price and cheap monthly bill through work) and I realized it doesnt come with any transfer cables what so ever. I did noticed the phone has a microSD card slot on it. Just so happens I do have a card.. but no reader.
However, I do have a camera that uses the microSD card as well as a Sansa MP3 player that uses it as well. Can I use these as a reader to access the card to put music on to use in my phone? Or do I have to have a card reader. Thanks.

The camera or mp3 player may format the card unless the filesystem is the same for each device iirc
I'd prefer a card reader myself, as it'll be faster transfering files on and off compared to using the transfer cables :-3

Well I think ill just purchase the card reader then. How much does a microSD card sell for anyways? The card is my sisters and I was just gonna take it from her camera but i kinda wanna buy my own now

I've got the same phone, same card, and a card reader, and I'm quite satisfied. Get the card reader.

Don't buy something pissy like a MicroSD card from somewhere online, just go to the nearest Target/Wal-Mart/Best Buy/Circuit City/Radio Shack/etc and you'll find one.
1 GB cards run about $25-30, higher capacities cost more.

I think you can get one plus a reader for about 12 or 15 bucks online.

But as Goat demonstrated, they nail you with shipping costs. If you can find a place that sells them that cheap with free shipping, then that would be cool.

Called bestbuy, the cheapest card reader they have here is $16
The link goat posted was about $14ish with shipping and handling.
I guess I should just go buy it in the store then =p

Yeah, but they're not always on sale, and they're not always microSD cards.
Believe me, I've spent many a month staring at the endcap the camera cards sit on. The base price tag for the generic 1GB microSD cards is about $25, unless there's a recent price cut or something.
Also, I bought a USB SD card reader from them for 5 bucks (base price). Looks like a flash drive if you leave the cap on the end you put the card into. Works great.
