I know, it sounds insane. "Teekup how can you have not watched House."

Dear god. I saw a few episodes last night and now I'm officially hooked. This show is nothing less than awesome. :awesome:

Actually it's back on Tuesdays again. Thank god, I hated the Monday time slot. And after House is Fringe. Seems like a good series. Saw the pilot last Tuesday.

The pilot episode of Fringe was awesome, I can't wait to watch more of it. It's definitely going to be a good series.

This better be good. The last season sucked imo. Likely due to writer's strike. Here's hoping.

Or maybe it could be because of the new team. It was fun in the beginning when he was playing the game of "Survivor" with them.

The season was set back so much. I heard that the season finale was meant to be the special episode they played after the SuperBowl.

Never seen house, so is it a drama or comedy (like scrubs)?

Ive started so many shows and not watched them all yet, Prison Break I'm on like season 1 ep 22 just cant get around to watching them, 24 is insanely awesome and I'm on season 3. Scrubs however, seen them all :D

It's more like a drama/mystery type show with comedy thrown in. I've never seen scrubs, I can't compare.

Gregory House is an amazing doctor who solves these medical mysteries with his team. But he doesn't get along with others easily, likes to play mind games on people, and has very unorthodox ways of diagnosing people. His smug comments and sarcasm add some of the comedy to the show.

Really good show. I recommend it. You can watch some episodes of House, along with the premiere of Fringe on www.fox.com (http://www.fox.com)

I definitely liked the first season more than the last, but I'm looking forward to new episodes. It's still a good show, even if I'm not particularly fond of the direction it seems like they were trying to go.

Also, Heroes, Office, etc. etc. !!

Go watch house now, damn wannabe...

lol j/k. Scrubs is sort of like house, but they fall into different categories, Scrubs is a comedy, House is more of like, drama. DR Cox is to Dr house (his name is house in the series) as... uhh I had a comparision, but n/m... cox is like, the comedy dude, and house is the more serious version of cox.

Scrubs wud never happen in real life, House could...

but yeah, house fuken owns. Scrubbs is good but i started watchin that second...

Both gr8 shows.

Seriously rob, watch house its gr8.

they got away from that hole story line shit and actually got back to saving people in the last couple episodes.
that hole drama bullshit with the cop was just ridiculous.

but the last episode of the last season was probebly the most gripping television i've seen in a long time.
i'll admit it. i was on the edge of my seet the whole time

One of my favorite House Episodes has to be "No Reason".

The episode where the guy walks in, asks if he's doctor house, and then shoots him. The entire episode is a mindtrip from then on.
The hospital actually exists too. (http://www.princeton-plainsboro.org/ppth/)

I actually enjoyed the cop story arc. The conclusion was a bit week IMO though.

It was that whole shit between chase and the chick and then the crap with houses's little contests which turned me off.

That and foreman constantly reappearing (and then occasionally agreeing with house >:| )

Bodzilla
September 12th, 2008, 11:31 PM
how could you have possibly enjoyed that storyline arc shit.
It was turning a medical diagnosis show about an incredible diagnostic doctor who happened to be the biggest cynical asshole in the world into a soap opera.

>___>

n00b1n8R
September 12th, 2008, 11:54 PM
First and foremost, the show was always a soap. Just because it isn't on 5 days a week and has decent acting doesn't change that fact.

Secondly, I liked seeing the way house degenerated (more than he already was) and coped with some actual restrictions, something Cuddy was way to <33house to impose on him herself. I don't think many soaps deal with vicodin withdrawral. :downs:

The latest season was by far the worst IMO (still interesting, but not nearly as good as the others).

What really got my attention was that they used Teardrop for the opening. Amazing song.

Last nights episode was weird, the kid had gotten immense radiation sickness from a good luck charm his dad got from his junkyard. In turn he got a virus that mimicked the cellular structure or something of his spinal cord, so when the initial virus got destroyed it started attacking his spinal column, thing is the radiation sickness destroyed his ability to create white blood cells. In the end he dies. Still it was an interesting episode.

Uh, well they had to tackle the whole Wilson and House thing. The episode had a boring diagnoses as a result in order to facilitate this. I'd say I liked it, however it was lacking quite a bit and there seems to have been too much going on at a time.
But they promised that this season would be more comical than angsty so thats a plus. I think it will get stronger now that they've more or less settled the Wilson thing for the time being (not exactly, but the whole "FEELINGS" part).

I'm also really disliking how incompetent the new team is. This episode shows more than ever how clueless they are without House.

Uh, that's...not true at all. Unless you're saying that misdiagnoses don't happen and that tests can happen in 2 minutes. Also, not all relevant symptoms can appear at one examination.

House is good, but it's just using some of the same plot devices a little too much. They should spice it up a little, like one of those little Hors d'œuvre trays in a patient's room, stuff like that.

But there is a difference between a cold and lupus xet.

also a good reliable doctor of 40 years took too long to diagnose my sister while ignoreing the advice of my mother who has been a nurse for 30 years and spent a fuckload more time with her then he had and now as a result her kidneys are fucked.

The words exageration and hyperbole come to mind. Xet, there's no way every medical problem in the world can be discovered in two minutes or less. Don't be so literal. The rest of you, stop making a big deal out of it, and get back to the topic at hand, or take it up in a PM. Otherwise, I'm guaranteeing the warnings and bannings will fly. On that note, and so as to not sound like a hypocrit, I ended up watching the season opener, and I feel it was a startling "meh". I know they can do better, they just have to push themselves. :( Or heck, maybe I'll just start focussing my time on Heroes...

Edit: lol backseat moderating
