Hey guys, currently trying to make a custom black T-Shirt for myself as I'm racing next month and possibly this month if I can find a good small race near home.

Here's what I got:

I would like it to look like this (just with a transparent background if possible):

Should be simple. Got the second image from custom ink when I was originally designing it. However, they wouldn't let me copy the image (only reason I got this one was because I was able to have it on print preview) nor would they let me have quantities lower than 6 (120 bucks, are you kidding me) without having me use their nonworking design program for single shirts.. Tried using the second image but the quality was awful when it was enlarged.

Definitely appreciate it.

well.. I'd vectorize it first, then find somewhere I could submit the graphic to be thrown on a t-shirt. (vector won't lose quality when its enlarged).

Why would you wear a black shirt while racing?
That'd get really hot!

Well I managed to find another logo and the shirt I thought came out nicely. While the brand of the shirt I'm not too familiar with, everything else was good. Hopefully it'll come out looking as good as it did on here.

And I actually don't wear t-shirts during races Blind. I actually wear them over my actual racing gear. Running a race in a black shirt, are you kidding me. :haw:

For those of you who don't understand the quote:

Gotta Believe and Gotta go to Work

“Gotta believe and gotta go to work,” was the motto heard around St. Louis during the 1999 football season. They had suffered through years of hardship such as losing their starting quarterback during the third preseason game that year. Despite their troubles, the Rams believed in themselves and showed heart and inspiration needed to achieve their first Superbowl win over the Tennessee Titans in Superbowl XXXIV.

Hearing that motto and witnessing the Rams’ determination that season had a positive impact on me. Following their example has helped me overcome several obstacles in my life. I’ve had to overcome hearing and speech problems, muscle coordination problems, and even issues with my weight and self confidence. It has not been easy, but it is a goal I continue to work toward.

I’ve been through some rough times. When I was five it was discovered that I had a moderate to severe hearing loss, which impacted my understanding of speech and the way I pronounced things. Upon receiving hearing aids, I really don’t believe I quite understood why. All I really knew was that I had some type of hearing loss but didn’t understand much beyond that. I never really realized I had speech problems until I was a bit older. Since my speech was difficult to understand, I was forced to undergo speech therapy to help me improve my speech. It would take me awhile but after many years of speech therapy my speech was excellent and very understandable. Later on as my voice started changing as any typical teenager’s voice does, I developed this British/ European accent as most seem to describe it. Call me crazy but I actually think of it as somewhat of a compliment!

When my hearing loss was discovered, it took me a while to grow fully accustomed to my hearing aids. At first, I disliked wearing my hearing aids, as I didn’t really feel that I needed them when in fact I did. Not wearing them greatly affected my ability to hear and communicate. It would take time before I would get over not wanting to wear them as I realized there were too many negatives in not wearing them. My hearing is greatly improved just by wearing those little devices; I sometimes will still misunderstand or miss certain things during conversations. To counter that, I try pasting words in the area missed or lip-read, which is a talent that not many people have. While that has worked out well for the most part, I still have to ask people to repeat themselves. At times it can be stressful because people sometimes impatient with me.

Having hearing loss can be hard at times; it can actually be quite nice whenever you need peace and quiet! Having control over my hearing is something I look at as a positive. I never look at the negatives and grumble, “Why me?” as I know my hearing loss is what made me who I am today.

While hearing loss was a tough one, getting over being overweight and lacking confidence is something that I prize as one of my biggest accomplishments. When I was young, eating healthy and exercise was like a foreign language to me. I ended up being overweight and lacked any type of confidence to do anything about it. It wasn’t until I joined a gym and met Leo who was working there as a personal trainer. Leo trained me on proper form and gave me excellent advice on weight lifting which I still use today when I’m lifting. He saw something in me that I hadn’t seen in myself before. His belief in me helped me believe in myself. Even though Leo doesn’t work at the same gym anymore, we still keep in contact and are good friends.

Once I really got into lifting and running, I lost over twenty-five pounds. This gave me more confidence and a positive image of myself which I lacked and sorely needed back then. I started running track for my school to meet new people and have some fun in a sport, something I’ve wanted to do. Working out and running is something I still do and enjoy to maintain my health and confidence. Looking back at my older pictures, I am reminded of how far I’ve come.

I’ve worked hard to overcome many challenges in my life. It has been a task requiring time, hard work, and effort. Above all, I’ve learned to believe in myself. When faced with an obstacle I refuse to indulge in self pity. My future goal is to become a personal trainer and even a coach. I hope that I can pass on to people about what I’ve learned; when times are difficult you “Gotta believe and gotta go to work.”

Feel free to comment it if you have any comments. :)

Probably quite thin tshirts, meaning quality isnt that great, I could be wrong but I doubt they will use ultra good shirts. Okay for like special events but not that great for everyday wear.

Good luck rams, you better get a pic of you running with it.

Can't say for sure right now, I'll report on it whenever it comes in. First time ordering a custom shirt (www.customink.com). If you're planning on order a single shirt, try finding another site. Only reason I used it was because of the logo. As the logo itself was from the site but I felt it fit the theme of the shirt quite well. As for the pictures, they posted were from the site.

And thanks 9mm, I'll definitely get a picture up whenever it comes in. :)

Alrighty, so I got the shirt awhile back. Just raced the 8k (about 5 miles) today and here's how it all went down:

Front Side:

After the race in my post-race gear:

And with that being said, I got up at 5:40 to dry off some clothes and eat a little breakfast to get something in my system before the race at 8:30. My mom, whose work supports the race, got up late and we still arrive there in time to sign up. However, when I rushed up to the starting line, the race had already started... So what do I do? I take off and still manage to get first place in my age group despite starting about a minute and a half late. :highfive:
My finishing time was 34:45 so that would translate to about 33:45 (figured I wouldn't over estimate the time). And considering I got a personal record regardless is still pretty damn impressive. :)

I thought they did an excellent job on it. The shirt looked professionally made and that's all I really wanted. So with that being said, I'm real pleased with how it came out. :)

Do they have heavy cotton shirts in blue? I really need a Union Jack shirt. >_>

Wait... did you get that off Cafepress? I've never been able to get a shirt to have a large image like that on it...

Yes, for orders under 6 it'll be a Beefy-T. For orders 6 and over, you'll have a lot more options. It's a real retarded system, but Beefy-T was actually a pretty good heavy cotton shirt when I got it.

And Bob I got it from customink.com, definitely check it out if you ever need a custom shirt.
