I am planning on getting a laptop and just wondering which brand you think is better. Toshiba or HP. Leave a comment to why it is better.
I know my friend has a HP laptop, and the case is already mess up by the screen, the plastic moved down and theres a gap there now.

I hate everything HP except its LaserJet printers.
Overpriced, cheaply made shit.
And shit piled on top of that shit.

For personal experience I would definitely have to say HP. My 17 incher has gone through so much ridiculous shit, and after about a year and a half of that it only broke a couple months ago.

I like my Dell laptops. They're quite nice. That or my Macbook (http://www.prthoughts.com/macbook.png).

Masters only had high end gaming laptops iirc, and older ones at that...

Dell laptops as of late (Studio, Inspiron, etc.) have actually appeared to be quite decent as of late. Alienwares are still overpriced pieces of shit that fall apart, discolor and break.

well, i have an Hp dv9000 entertainment laptop. its got a 17" widescreen, nice speakers, little media control buttons above the keyboard, 4 usb ports, and pretty much everything else a typical laptop has. iv had it for a year and 2 months now. its proven itself to be able to run oblivion on 1500x900 screen resolution with HDR and default draw distance.... at least untill you leave the dungeon. then the fps drops from 60 to 15 :P
my point is that i perfer Hp over toshiba. my cousin is on his 3rd toshiba laptop and im on my 2nd hp laptop after 3 faithful years from my old one.

Oblivion isn't used as a benchmark anymore.

Agreed.
And voted.
Toshiba.
I have a Dell desktop, from 2003, still running, multiple reformats, but I'm starting to question the current state of my hardrive (dells been known to have hard drive failures...)
Probably gonna replace it with something else soon.. next reformat.

Toshiba definitely has better laptops than HP. As for Dell, haven't really tried one of those to compare...
Right now I've got one from the company known as Acer. (and don't really like it much, I'm definitely getting a Toshiba before going off to college, hopefully one that is decent with games so I don't go completely insane from the classes...)

Both of them are great brands. But i prefer HP. It has many features like remote control finger print ID, light compact and attractive design on the cover, scratch resistant etc. It is better on multimedia than Toshiba. The price of this is affordable.

HP uses cheaper, low grade plastics than Toshiba, and I find that Toshiba generally has better internals.

Most of those are gimmicks used to get you to buy the product.
