It's $20 at my nearest Gamestop last I checked, and that was 3 weeks ago.
If more people do actually buy it, I might pick up a copy and play.

you should get the game anyway because there are many many amazing mods being developed for the game, and the community is really good. Plus the game rocks online.

I bought this when it came out, played it for a while then stopped because I got distracted by other games plus I sucked online.. I should re install it one of these days. I also got all the other unreal games with it for free.

I have the game and I love the beautiful engine but I get too much lag online (it's a bandwidth issue..nothing wrong with the game at all) :)

To be honest, the only downside of the game in my opinion was the single player story line. Its so.. bad..
"Capture their flag to stop their respawners from respawning them! We must keep them from respawning to win this war!"
Lame... although the mods and the online play are awesome

I play very often. The mods and custom maps are awesome, what with the whole million dollar mod contest sponsored by epic games and all.
Heres some shots of a newly released custom map, one of many.

I would get it, but I just don't think I could run it with decent visuals :\

There's something about UT that has never caught on with me. The mods always seem superb but...meh.

UT is one of those games where you play it for 15 minutes and you've felt like you've played for like an hour, and to have quick fraggouts with friends, get some time in playing a quick deathmatch before going to school, work or watever.
It packs alot in, in a short amount of time, and I like it because sometimes I don't wanna bother with story and missions and i Just wanna kill things and watch them splatter in all directions, with pretty visuals and awesome tools of destruction.
The community keeps bringing out new weapons and characters and levels to keep it fresh all the time.
The game is pretty much almost based on the intent of being modded. It's one of the most accessibly easy to mod games, because you can use everything in the game to make your own maps, or use the exact same tools the developers themselves used to totally convert the game into something special, like a whole bunch of teams are doing.
Plus I like the pace of the game. Other games seem too dam slow to me now. Plus, theres no greater tension then watching some fuckhead dart off with your flag around the corner on his hoverboard, while you narrowly miss him with your shot, with 1 minute left on a tie break. You hate it, but you love it.
Also shock comboing a guy mid air, watching him get ripped into campbells chunky is the best thing ever.

Hmm, this is one of those times that makes me wish I had a good computer capable of running such games, oh yeah and money.:(
The thing I never liked about the UT games is that the story line isn't ever very good. I need a good story to like a game. I've only played UT2004 but I want very good at it, so I wont make any opinions on the multiplayer based off of that.
The mods and stuff do sound really cool, that's one thing I would love to have the game for.

I went ahead and bought the unreal pack off steam because I was bored, time to see how UT3 looks on low settings :haw:

Looks pretty shitty like I thought it would, but hey I've also got UT2k4 now as well as another reason besides DOW2 to get a new PC

This, or Far Cry 2 which will give me 50 hours of play...hmmmmm. What's the average amount of people in a game? Is it like CoD4, where there's one server that can have like ,60, then it goes down to 50's and 40s? Or is there a limit, which I don't think they put on PC games.

What sucks is that I spent $50 for my birthday, and 2 DAYS after it dropped to $30! (At least at the wal-marts and super targets near me).
