How well would an 8600gt run this when at 1680x1050?

Probably very well?
I was able to play TF2 with most things high on an ATI X1100 in my laptop, and that's some shit integrated card.
Also will check out tonight.

I'm going to get the orange box soon.
My laptop which has a 8600M GT runs it at 1680 by 1050 all maxed out except AA and AF (if there is any)

I've seen TF2 with all these things on, that's how Orange plays, and it doesn't look all that different IMO.
Personally, I like the game better with HDR ad motion blur off, so I can actually see what I'm doing.

I haven't had AF lag me. Just AA. In CoD4, I played around with AF and saw no impact on FPS. If I did, it was by 1 or 2 frames.

In CoD4, I can't run it at 1078x756 (or whatever it is :S) without getting less than 30fps, but I can run it at 800x600 with 2xAA with 30+ fps average.

i'm with pooky, i left out the motion blur and tried the burning gibs, textures, specular and particles/ meet the.. models.
i honestly couldnt recognise anything different :/
it's a trick of the art work that does this, because when i first got the game i had no idea i was running at half the Rez i could be and with all my options downplayed.
it just looked good to me regardless, and when i upgraded to max out the settings i didnt really see any difference at all :/
