Now that I have your attention, Id like to release that map.
Tool also spit some wierd information out at me too.

The cliffs edge looks remarkably sharp, should have made it look more natural instead of a 90 degree angle where the cliffs just appear and don't mesh with the terrain at all.

Otherwise I might check this out later to see what's new and give a more detailed critique.

Also I really hope you stuck with the default weapons set instead of just jamming the MA5K in to replace the AR :|

Looks kinda weird how you have this flat plain on the side of this mountain, with nothing else in sight in the sky. You should have thrown some other mountains out there. Looks great though.

Another thing, the flat cliffs at the top with absolutely no Z variation looks remarkably unnatural.

Or atleast not enough, because from the angles in the pictures you took its almost indistinguishable :|

Some, but not enough to be noticeable. It should be far more dramatic.

From my post at halo maps: Is this a final release? The modeling was good but I noticed a few things that made it look unfinished, some parts weren't smoothed correctly, textures were stretched in some areas, and the ground was pretty flat. The cliff edge was could have been less sharp too. I didn't really like the sky, it was half orange yet the lighting in the level was white. Also.. I'm kinda thinking the ground texture is boring now that I look at it and did you model new trees?

The ground was smoothed fine, it must of been the lightmaps =\

Looks nice, and I won't bother restating the flaws.

Its a release, so I know you don't wanna hear about it anyway.

Looks great though.

P.S. Work on your forunner structure modeling though for future maps.

Why do people always use defult Halo textures. The structures would look way better with new and different textures. And what is going on with the cliffs... Looks like a giant robot has cut them out with a knife.

The default textures look great, and unless the map creator has acess to someone who can make decent textures, and isnt a lazy shit (Yes Im talking to you eleven and geo) then they can't add custom textures.

I don't like the way the lighting has almost nothing to do with the sky, but other than that it looks like a cool map.

Why do people always use default Halo textures. The structures would look way better with new and different textures.

Especially when the textures don't blend together at all where they're placed. They can look decent when placed well, but in this case they are put in places where they don't go together at all.

It is yes, and I'm not going to download it because it doesn't have the bridge idea that I gave them and everyone loved.

It's just DisableAlphaRenderTargets

If you read through this thread you should be able to figure it out.
