An awesome episode of the reconstruction series has just came out as it builds to the conclusion of the series, So many things make sense now and the way the music is played out is just awesome.
gave me shivers, so if you have any <3 for the RvB i suggest you check out this episode, or the entire season as soon as possible.

Am I the only one who felt like the end of that episode was a bit too close to a certain doom fanfic? >_>
"No! I must find the Alpha" he shouted
Wash said "No, Church. You are the Alpha"
And then Church was an AI.

I really hope next episode's gonna open with "No, Wash, you're a retard."
Anyways, did Church die before or after Doc showed up? I'm thinking if Doc arrived BEFORE Caboose went all team-kill, he likely implanted the Alpha into Church, which adapted to his thoughts and memories. If not, then it's really confusing, considering Church has a past that he remembers. Not to mention the fact that Tex has also died and come back a ghost.

I say we say this whole thread is spoilers, mkay?
Church "died" in Episode 8. Doc appeared in Episode 20. So yeah, that didn't work. The general consensus for the sponsors is that Command gave the Alpha false memories. But man, I can't wait until next Monday.

Shiiiiiiiiit, I wasn't expecting that, though it all makes sense. Damn, this is gonna be epic.
When he was saying that they broke apart the Alpha, I thought that they were going to say that they were trying to recreate it using all the other AI and the Meta, but having it as Church makes it all the more interesting.

Another theory I'm seeing is that Tex was Agent Carolina, the Freelancer implanted with two AIs, Omega, and another one. The second could have ended up adopting Tex's memories and thoughts, like Alpha did with Church, so when Donut killed Tex, she lived on through the second AI. This still allows for Tex and Church to have their backstory, while technicaly being AIs.
Another one that seems less likely is that when Wash mentions they placed the Alpha in a place no one would ever find it, he meant Blood Gulch as a whole, and all the Red vs Blue characters are implanted with parts of the Alpha. Personally, I think this would make for a great ending, as all the characters gang together to take down the director.

Most of the posts I've seen favour the idea that the AIs adapt to their hosts and copy their memories.

Maybe you should hide that in spoilers smack...
Theory on Tex below :
I have a feeling that Tex was another AI, maybe designed to keep an eye on Church, the Alpha. It would explain why she wouldn't "die" either, and also be able to jump through people. It might also explain why Omega would always go back to her, to be a part of a complete AI.

Lol, they've been so inconsistent with Tex. I'm interested to see just how they explain it.
She's been called Tex, Allison, Texas, Beth, and Nevada, and now you're thinking she's Carolina?
e: remember, for a long time RvB was nothing more than a random comedy, and I would wager a hefty sum that Rooster Teeth has quite recently been through similar discussions to the one we are having, trying to come up with dramatic justification for the slapstick of the past.

There's a song that refers to her as Beth (the line goes something like "a girl named Beth also known as Tex"), and at one point she is discussing the freelancer program with some of the blues, and one of them asks her what her state was, and she replies "Nevada". I think that was the same discussion where Tucker asks "so there are 50 of you?", Tex replies "49, remember?" and Tucker says "oh, right. Poor Florida", followed by a moment of silence.

Keep in mind that Tex never actually materialized a ghost like Church did. She would just suddenly pop into a host and take over.Episode 60 and Episode 100. Tex is seen as a ghost in them. In Episode 100, she actually goes out of her body, and goes into Caboose, so she has the same abilities as the Alpha.
Also, Burnie confirmed that Nevada was supposed to be a joke, and Beth is a middle name, according to Nico. So she's Agent Texas (Tex), "real" name, Allison.
Another theory I'm seeing is that Tex was Agent Carolina, the Freelancer implanted with two AIs, Omega, and another one. Agreed. It's like asking what the colour of the sky is, and someone saying Magenta. There's an implied "...you dumbass" at the end.
By the idea of false memories, Tex is the only tie to Church's past, and she is probably an AI, as well. Command could have created them both, and fabricated a past, to make them believe that they were actual humans. Although I could be pretty wrong.
The only problem with that is that they WERE actual humans, with real, organic bodies. Hence the idea that "Tex" was one of the Carolina AIs, before Beth "Allison" Lastname went crazy, her project was terminated, and Freelancer HQ said "Let's let two AI control a body, see if that works" and created Agent Texas. Same memories as Allison, having being copied into the "Tex" AI, and by the time her and Church meet up again, no one's the wiser. Fabricated pasts seems like a cop-out. After a twist like this, they better back up their story thicker than pigshit.
Edit: Also, not loving how the series has turned into "The adventures of Church, the Freelancer who sounds like Church, and... holy shit, they better be twins... Jesus fucking Christ, Wash had better be Church's twin brother... where was I, oh yeah, "The Adventures of Church, Wash, and a band of supporting characters" Needs more Doc. He was one of the best.

Yeah, next episode better be really fucking long, I can't see them finishing that in a 8 minute episode.

lol cliffhangers. grrr.
What I should do is just ignore rvb except once a year, so i can get a whole season all at once. Then I can just have one cliffhanger per year.
Hm, maybe that's worse...

New episode's up. Not sure if it's just for sponsors or not. Screw these long loading times...

Double-post for great justice! FUCK.... YEAH!!!!
One of the most intense things I have ever seen. The epilogue is a complete mindfuck, and finally 'splains the whole AI/Ghost thing once and for all. Good lord, I cannot wait for the next real season.

Makes me sort of sad that Caboose is all alone... And what... no lead in to Tucker? wtf And Church better come back... I'll be angry. <>

It's pretty much a given that:
- Caboose is trying to restore Church using the memories in Epsilon
- Dr. Church will make an appearance after being cleared of charges
- Wash and Maine will be back
- Most, if not all the characters will be reassigned to normal duty
- I'm thinking the person Dr. Church lost may have been Tex. His girlfriend, most likely, as it would explain them having memories of each other. She'll likely also get revived using Epsilon, or some other means. Perhaps the Meta AIs found a way out of the EMP.

Shit, that was epic. I wasn't expecting any of that. Can't wait until the next series to come out and continue the story!

Am I gonna be the only one to say, meh? I mean, it was alright, but I wouldn't call it epic. I guess I just didn't really feel satisfied with that ending.
And,
The director being the original Church just doesn't make any kind of sense to me. Sure, it fits, if you really want it to, but it just doesn't feel right. I can't quite put my finger on why, but it's just all wrong. So I say meh. It's a shame when a big twist doesn't work out.

I know what you mean. I think it's because we've come to know the regular Church, and even if he got backed-up in Epsilon before he got inside Wash, he still won't be the same, and you can't connect to a character who's an AI the same way you could with the rest of them. Personally, I'm interested on where they're going with this, so we'll just have to wait and see.

yeah, that's it, isn't it? It's that we've all come to know and love (or hate, that asshole) Church, and to have him be little more than a copy of a new unfamiliar character who doesn't even remind one of Church in the least, except for maybe the fact that the Director is also an asshole, just doesn't seem right.
Still, seeing as how Church is in the animated series which only really makes sense if it's after the events of Reconstruction, I think we can be confident that he's returning.
Who wants to bet that the first words out of Church's mouth when Caboose revives him are something along the lines of "God damnit, Caboose!" ? :3

I think we don't have to spoiler anything from the last episode... that's the whole point of this thread.
Church possibly survived. He's already taken over humans in the past, and so I think that he probably hid inside of Maine's head when the emp went off. As for Caboose, he's most likely trying to bring back Tex, with Dr. Church's strong memories of her. And besides, they're both alive in the animated movie, so I'm taking that as a sign that they will be both back at some point.

But who says that the animated videos are a part of the same story-line? I hope that they continue with this story as a machinima, and have the animated one as a complete separate story.

I think whats gunna go on is where gunna have a machinima mini series, then the animation will be another mini-series.
