They're not delaying their games, they're downsizing the teams that work on them so it'll be more profitable. Smaller teams take more time.

Smaller teams are generally more focused and can be more flexible. It's easier to manage and make changes to a game where only 25 people are working on it, rather than a game that 125 people are working on.

How about everyone gets the fuck over how long Valve take to release new HL2 saga titles and waits like good little children? I love the series to death, but you don't see me whining or boycotting their other games because of it.

Honestly, people need to chill out when it comes to release dates. Look what happened to Halo 2 when it got rushed for release.
