View Full Version : A Set of Questions I Have

I have several questions that I've been curious about for quite some time, so now I'm finally deciding to ask them.

1.) How do you get the Spiker to have a decaying trajectory? I know it has similarities to that of how the Fuel Rod does it's projectile.

2.) How do you get projectiles all bunch up together when using automatic fire? I've placed the error at [0 to 0], but I didn't get the results I exactly wanted. What would be the best way to do this (think how the Halo3 spiker has the spikes in a single-file line)?

3.) Is it possible to have the BR fire a single bullet when zoomed in?

4.) What does the "reticle" section in a weapons tag mean? What does First Person Offset mean?

5.) How do you get a charged beam like that of the Halo2 hunters?

I appreciate any help you have.

1) In the gravity scale, in the projectile tag I believe.
2) Not sure.
3) Not sure.
4) Not sure.
5) Think of the scarab on extinction..same thing. In the weapon tag, under charging. I'm not sure how to get it to only fire when charged, though.

You need a charging effect and such.

Do you see what I mean or no?

No, I don't mean the crosshair, I mean the section in a weapons tag that says RETICLE. It has near reticle range, far reticle range, intersection reticle range.

Last time I checked the spikes don't shoot exactly straight. They have an error angle, I'm positive.

1) Edit the projectile tag and change the air gravity scale to 1.
2) There's 2 sections labeled as error in the weapon tag. The first one is used for accelerated error the second is used for actual weapon error when firing. You need to edit the second one.
3) No
4) The reticule section under the weapon tag is used to tell the game when to change the reticule red and tell it when to use magnetism and to what degree.
5) Use the overcharge and discharge settings on the weapon tag. Look at the plasma pistol for a good reference on how to make it.
