anyway, this topic isnt totally purposeless:

i have multiple network connection icons in my tray, three of them unused. they keep displaying the "a network cable is unplugged" thing, and unchecking the "display icon when limited or no connection" didnt work.

I have another question: does anybody know how to re-assign certain movements to get actions in max 2008-09? Like, in max 8 i can hold shift and click the translation gizmo without actually moving to clone--but i can't do that in next versions. Also, anybody know how to bring back the classic hierarchy window? or how to remove the "click anywhere to make polygon" thing and back to the "click on specific vertices"?

Also, does anybody know where to find some tutorials on rendering with vray or something? I need to make some great renders to make my models look better for my portfolio, heh.

ALSO, it's my birthday on the 10th of nov, i'll be 18, anybody got ideas? if you guys dont have any suggestions i'm just gonna go to a stripclub with some besties, or go over to my friends house and rock out till the morning comes. I'm buying a Bad Monkey overdrive pedal, a nano clone chorus pedal, and a S34C NEX Cutaway acoustic that i'm going to modify to play better...its going to be a sweet birthday for me.

The connections are already disabled, and the icon is already set to "do not display" WTF MANG

Also, if i wanted to lose my virginity i would have already done it multiple times. On to your networks problem: A temporary solution would be to right click on an empty spot of your taskbar > Properties.

From there the Notification Area tab should available to you, then Customize under the Icons section. Hide the networks that you don't want showing up... I don't know if it'll stop it from popping up...but I did that to my "Windows Security Alerts" and it stopped annoying me that Defender was off.
