me and a friend are working on a map, unfortunately he cannot compile the map because vista fails and refuses to Co-op with HEK+...

He can't downgrade it as his uncle has business documents on the computer.

any idea on how we can circumvent this problem and still compile it on HIS vista (my XP is too old and unable to handle Halo due to memory shortage)

How about using tool with command prompt?

You can compile with HEK+? Neato.

Like Joe said, just run CMD and use tool from command line.

tool build-cache-file levels/test/mapfolder/scenarioname

I believe that's the command.

I think my friend has tried using another program, but he cannot find the compiled map... but i'll give him the link to this thread and see if it helps him. thanks guys

You need to disable UAC. Be warned it could revert your tags folder to an earlier date.

Or just cut/paste your Halo Custom Edition folder into C:\Users\*name*\Games\Halo Custom Edition\ or something like that. UAC does not like writing to folders within C:\Program Files\.
