To be honest, Obama did change his promise. His tax cut plan was to benefit people who earn less than $250,000 a year, and that encompasses 95% of the country. However, recently on his 30 minute "Barack Obama political infomercial", he changed the numbers a bit. From $250,000 to $200,000. I'm not sure how much that effects the "95%" statistic, but regardless, this change does not bring me a good feeling. I'm afraid that when he gets elected, he may do exactly what Bill Clinton did and use that "I tried to get the tax breaks I promised you, but George Bush (senior) lied to us. He told us that the country was in better shape, but it isn't and I can't afford to cut your taxes" bullshit. I really, really hope that he wont though. I do like Obama over Mccain I have decided, but I'm not excited to see him in office because of what MIGHT happen. Not just this, but also the likelyhood of assassination attempts on him, and what could happen to the country if one of those attempts were to succeed.

As a result of the economic crisis there our (NZ) dollar has crashed, and things are starting to wind down (house prices falling, etc). Our elections are coming up in a few days too, if anyone cares.
