I didn't even know Michael was diagnosed with cancer O.o
He was a neat guy. Especially with his "state of fear" stuff and all that.

:(
I loved his books and movies. His movies are the best series ever IMO. And his books are pure awesome, even better than stephen king's.

Indeed, it does. How many great semi famous people have died this year? Like 30?

It's a bit of a dick move to say this after he died, but he wrote stupid books and he was an ignorant global warming denier, so I'm not feeling that bad about this :raise:

Oh? I guess I'll have to look at it then.
@ CN3089 : Or was he a fricken' genius and called it what it really was and you're the ignorant one? For you to not even hear what he had to say about it suggests to me that you don't understand what his point was.

He may or may not have been ignorant of global warming (State of Fear was a theoretical premise), but some of his books were amazing. Jurassic Park, The Lost World, The Andromeda Strain, Prey, Timeline. And those are just a few. Sure, there were some not-so-great ones, but when they were good, they were awesome. :D

2008 takes yet another victim, almost two months left until '09...
Michael Crichton was a modern literary god. I loved Timeline.

There are no words that I could say that would even do Mr. Crichton Justice.
2008 is truly a merciless year.

Airframe was the only mystery suspense book I've found to be good.
