Here is my first bsp attempt in years, hope to hear some direction with where its going as i have no idea.

I see 3 seperate pieces of geometry, not including the floor, copied countless times.
The detail on the floor seems like it should be done in a bump map, but hey whatever. Other than that, nothing in the way of horrible modelling, and nothing to really complain about.

I agree about the floor, but I dont see what everyone hates about copying things. Look at Elongation. Look at Warlock. Sanctuary.
I think its ok.

ha cool, thanks for the crit and yes it is based upon the decor of Crow's Nest.
I will make it more interesting once I have found a basic layout for the details. (add ammo crates, forklifts and such, mb a pelican to act as cover in this big open space who knows)
oh and its all one model there..., all connected and manually optimised. As for those 'bump' details, well they're to compliment the texture as Halo 1's bumps are awful.

A low poly Halo 3 hog replication UV'd and ready for a high poly projection sometime in the near future. Turret is still to be modelled and UV'd.
this will be going into UT3 for a total conversion project, i'll post more wip pics as in when are ready.
Oh and H3MT will be using the low poly model for their maps aswell.

I'm sorry guys but there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with repeating geometry in a model. However, if done in a fashion that it conflicts with the overall design then yes, it needs to be fixed. In this case, however, it fits perfect.

lol xD I remember that game, but i dont get the caption but still.
I like it so far, just try to give it a good layout, right now the current area could be a map center possibly, it could even be a base if done right.
E: comment is at the first map wip posted
E2: other things that come to mind is some sort of warehouse structure, or some sort of platform oil rig maybe just part of one, heck even a cargo ship (boat, not spaceship) you could go many ways with that.
My idea would be some sort of multi leveled map with catwalks/platforms and such, kind of like hangem high, but just, bigger platforms and human not forerunner, I can envision it, I just can't really think of a function for such a structure yet lol.
E3: actually... it reminds me of a very small section of some map someone showed me a picture of but i completely forget who it was but I remember the model got lost in a hard drive failure or something I think I can't remember tho.
