I got my half life for free from a friend who was moving. That was 4 years ago, so I dunno how much I saved by getting it for free. But I did get all those fun mods (counterstrike, opfor, blue shift,w/e) for free.

I think he probably got the Anthology or anniversary or something package from his friend, and when he installed it, he got all those games for free.
