It really doesn't matter.

If you do a lot of RAM-based operations, you might want a 64-Bit version of Vista with a lot of RAM to back it up... if you already got 32-bit/XP/Vista/whatever... use it. If you want tip-top-performance at the (large) price of (ease of) usability... but for zero price of money... and have nothing tied directly to Windows that can't be WINE'd... use Linux. If you're a recreational stoner who enjoys shiny things, use a Mac ;)

That should cover it.

As Phopojijp said, you can't say outright that either OS is better than the other because each has it's individual pros and cons. I recommend reading the following article and then making your decision accordingly.

64-bit: More than just the RAM (http://www.bit-tech.net/bits/2007/10/16/64-bit_more_than_just_the_ram/1)

In term's of Vista, 32-bit. I've heard too many bad things about 64-bit. For XP however, 64-bit is just fine.

The 32-bit OEM version of Vista is cheaper than 64-bit. Thus, 32-bit is better.

Mainly because there is no need for a 64-bit while a 32-bit can offer enough satisfaction, correct?

But 64-bit w/ 6gb of Ram > 32-bit w/ 3 gb. I like ram... never back down LOL Dodge
