Just thought it'd be an interesting comparsion, all games displaying my favorite level (Deck) with my preferred method of destruction (Shock Combo)

I kind of agree. Specifically, the Shock Combo particles were a nice touch in the original Unreal, I don't know why they took them out in UT.

Don't forget they also dumbed down a lot of the map textures and made the Shock rifle itself fucking ugly.

True. BUT THEY HAVE LIGHTS ON THE TOP OF THE LEVEL

Unreal and UT were 98/99 respectively... Unless you meant like the lens flare on games like Strike Commander...
