Wow, what a waste of time. It took this long to sentence one guy with full supported evidence against him. Great. I guess the Constitution should have been written: "Everyone has the right for a trial, unless it is so freaking obvious why the hell should we need one to prove your guilty?" And I'm not just pointing this at this trial neither....

LOL. Well he's getting what he deserves.

I still have no idea why he got that long. It's not like he killed someone or actually stole anything right? People have done much worse than O.J. and get lesser sentences. Also I still think O.J. is innocent for those murders.

When I read the title of this thread, I was thinking this had something to do with OJ from FBI.

I hope your joking.

Abdurahman

Yea I was joking about the fist part.

I agree he should have went to prison, but not 33 years, cmon!

Heathen
December 5th, 2008, 07:28 PM
if you were joking for the first part then you agree he killed someone.

So how do you think 33 is too much?

THats life in prison.

E: the first part? Its the last part I disagreed with.

I disagree'd with all of it, but the last part was specifically lulzy.

I don't agree he should have gotten life in prison for this. The other trial, if he had gotten life, yeah, but for this? no way. maybe 10 would be good.

He was acquitted for that murder. I was 2 at that time, so I don't care about it. If he had gotten a life sentence here, he would have deserved it.

But for this armed robbery thing? Life in prison is waaaay too much. Unless this carried over from the 1994 trial, . But hey, some people get what they deserve eh?

But, they're probably putting the last trial into consideration for this one, which is why he got that long of a sentence.

Abdurahman
December 5th, 2008, 07:39 PM
Yeah, I agree with you. maybe they did put the last trial into consideration.

He didn't :downs:

And they cant review his last trial.
Double Jeopardy.

Abdurahman

He didnt :haw:

If he gets out before he dies He'll be 94 :haw:

Heathen

Thats not the point. They didnt give him life, they gave him 33 years. Whether they gave him 200 or 33, Its not life in prison. Shit happens. He could survive.

I'm glad he finally got what he deserved.

Glad he's finally behind bars, bout time someone famous gave a sentence worth something... You guys also have to realize is the fact that he could get parole after 9 years. Hopefully he doesn't but we'll have to wait and see when the issue comes up.

'Bout time. Seriously. <_<

Why do you all hate him so much? Sure his book was a completely idiotic idea.

How come it is such a long sentence? People over here get roughly 5 years for armed robbery (unless they kill someone).

Heathen
December 5th, 2008, 10:04 PM
It was more than that. Thats the thing. He got for more than just Armed Robbery.

Limited
December 5th, 2008, 10:16 PM
AH your right, he has different counts for things

Conspiracy to commit a crime
Conspiracy to kidnap
Conspiracy to commit robbery
Two counts of first degree kidnapping
Burglary in possession of a deadly weapon
Two counts of armed robbery
Two counts of assault with a deadly weapon
Two counts of coercion with use of a deadly weapon
But does that not add up everytime in an armed robbery?
Apparently saying "stay where you are" and pointing a gun counts as kidnap. Surely all armed robbers say that.

Heathen
December 5th, 2008, 10:33 PM
Yes, but thats not the point. They brought everything they could down on him merely to make up for the last one imo.

So you think he killed his ex wife and that goldman guy?

Heathen
December 5th, 2008, 10:45 PM
Yeah, I do.

ICEE
December 5th, 2008, 10:47 PM
Who doesn't think that?

Abdurahman
December 5th, 2008, 11:20 PM
Well I don't believe that he killed them.

And it wouldn't have been legally right if they sentenced him here just so they could get him back for the last trial thing.

Actually I just read on armed robbery, and sorry everyone! I was arrogant. Sorry Rossmum, and Heathen. Under law, even life imprisonment is applicable in armed robbery. So 33 years is ok. And anyways it's gonna be 9 years then parole. He will probable stay more. But meh, who cares he's just another guy who got sentenced. Doesn't do anything to hurt me. Maybe just my rep here at Modacity :(

I dont really know much about the OJ case (murder one), it was huge in US but not really that big in UK.

I dont beleive he did it, to me watching him the past few years he just doesnt seem like a killer to me, but then again hes the only one who knows the real him. Also one of my friends lived opposite him when the whole thing when down, they were cheering at the tv when he was in the car chase. Him and his whole family believe he is innocent.

If he didnt, who did? That again I have no idea about.

They obviously didnt find any conclusive evidence that he did it, otherwise he'd have been in prison ages ago, so what makes you all think hes guilty, isnt the saying "innocent until proven guilty"? not the other way around.

NuggetWarmer

If he wasn't guilty he wouldn't have run from the cops. :)

Roostervier
December 6th, 2008, 02:25 PM
One of the biggest reasons he was let off of that case was because the bloody leather glove they found did not fit his hand. But the glove had been wet, and leather shrinks. <_<

That's why everyone thinks knows he was guilty.

I guess I have nothing to complain about now, though; justice has already been served.

Yeah, I agree with you. maybe they did put the last trial into consideration.

That's illegal.

Heathen
December 6th, 2008, 07:29 PM
That's illegal.

Not if they dont say that they did. I guarantee the judge and jury knew about his other trials.
