It's a higher-def remake of Xan, it came from a pack over at EvilEngine's forums.

Isn't it hard for you to get a kill with everyone bunny hopping?

UT2004 was worse, the jumps were higher and you could double-jump around more, but I played the shit out of it. UT3 seems easy compared to it. :V

Not to mention you spawned with that horrible fucking Assault Rifle <_<

That was my only beef with that game, really. I actually had fun jumping around and dodging shots all the time, and landing a shock combo on someone trying to get away is the most satisfyling, most :awesome: feeling

I'd want this game run stable on my machine. Doesn't matter what settings I use, its always just really choppy 5-20 fps. Sometimes I can run it on 60 fps all good like for ten seconds... Doesn't make sense.

you must have a pretty bad computer. UT3 is the best running game for its looks that I've played, ever. my 80 dollar 8600 gt ran the game maxed out silky smooth. Hell, even my 6600Gt ran it at 20 fps. I have a 9800 GT now and it's running at 1080 widescreen maxed out, still runs the best in comparison to it's looks on my machine. If you can't run it then you can't run any modern game.

Or you could just use a really good cleanup on your pc. If so I recommend a free program called Ccleaner.

I've had pretty good computer for 2 years now.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Hard Drive: 500 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB
But thanks, I'll try the cleanup.

Try using UT3 tweaker (http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=594723) to optimise the graphics settings. I was able to run UT3 at about 40FPS on an x300 Mobility using the lowest optimal settings in UT3T.

Dude that program's awesome, I'm just now checking it out, it's crazeh

But yeah Lateski, if you're gonna change GFX settings, I suggest turning off DepthOfField, it makes the game look grainy, and from personal experience, sucks for accurate shots because stuff gets blurred at very long distances, and according to TweakGuides.com, significantly decreases Bloom for some reason.

i love the look of UT3.... in screenshots.

cant fucking see anythign when i play.
it's something you have to pay for hours on hours before your eyes adapt to the graphic style and you can actually see people.
to me it's like looking through glass's made out of mud.

I agree with you Bod, I use lowest settings with the tweaker and get 20-60 fps. I heard older UT's looked better even with low settings but this looks pretty bad and also bad fps on such low settings. I'd like to play arena game like this with 100 fps :/

i do.

i get over 60 frames everything MAX and i cant stand the look of the game.
i've played UT since it came out, almost religiously in some case's but i just cant stand the attention to detail in this.

everything blends into everything else.

everything blends into everything else.

That's one of the reasons I personally don't like UT3. I cant distinguish what are the players and what is the world. So I rarely get a kill, but a lot of deaths.

Well, the way to tell the difference between the players and the world is the players jump around and move really frickin fast. Easy.

It's not that hard once you're used to it. It's no different than getting used to say, COD4.
