Unfortunately, it was only suggested that Disney acquire EA.

I hope they do, and then fire John Riccitellio.

Oh shit, expect Rock Band: Jonas Brothers Ft. Hannah Montana Edition :(

Anyways, I think the only good Disney game that I've played is Pure. Hopefully none of this happens though.

Though I suppose if we can get shit companies like these to merge all into one, it will be much easier to identify shit games. The company label will be like a free warning! *Goes back to blowing Valve and Epic employees*

How dare those bastards strive for a monopoly in the market of naive and easily satisfied people!

just when we thought EA and IP couldn't get any worse, they'd have the disney lawyers devising new ways to hold on to the property.

You guys are jokes if you think Disney would do anything to affect the games.

Plus, EA is a publisher. They don't develop the games. If EA were to sell, the one subsidiary they might protect or sell would probably be DICE. The smartest thing to do then would be to let them buy themselves out like Bungie did with Microsoft, and then establish a contract that gives the "new EA" the first right of refusal. Then, if DICE were to develop a game that Disney wasn't happy with, they could go to Ubisoft to publish it instead.

Disney bought Blackrock Studios, bugger all happened to their games, sure they are making some more kid titles.

EA being acquired? Tables have turned, for once.

Are you guys serious? You think because it's DISNEY that they'll automatically be kiddie stuff in their games? Last time I checked turok was gorey as hell. I doubt EA will even give in. They have good enough games as it is. All I hear is you guys complaining about EA, but when disney comes in you guys complain more. You can't win from losing....

Jonas Brothers is an abomination to life. FUCKING PERIOD

I've actually TRIED to listen to their music and it is so....Disney-ish and boy band.

Yeah, I don't get why the Jonas Brothers got so well known, their music sucks, they're obviously fake in the way they say that they're gonna be perfect examples of people (not gonna drink, nor have sex before marriage, etc...)

Hopefully, they'll either change, or just sink away until they're unknown...

Needs more Warner Bros deathmatch shooter tbh. Fuck disney.

Being able to blow Daffy's head off with bugs bunny running around gouging eyes with carrots, tas devil turning fudd into a blood thickshake, wiley coyote with a gun that shoots tweedy bird out of it to act as a sort of homing missile that returns to the gun while road runner battering rams everyone into wall pancakces would be epic as shit.

i wanna make a game with a kids title but with rated M or higher contents, such as bloody gore. see how many parents will buy it for their kids.

Disney gamestudios obviously changed it's style for games. Pure was a good example of this. I doubt there will be Adventures of Donald Duck #932 by EADisney...

I agree, Pure was definetly not a typical Disney game, but I can't see Disney ever letting a Mature rated game like Dead Space be made if they were to aquire EA. They would probably make the company "tone it down" to Teen rating, or tell them to find a new publisher.

Ah shit. Well, looks like no where is safe from the outbreak of sucking teen singers. Next thing you know, people's heads will explode everytime they try to play Guitar Hero and Rockband. WTF?

Has nobody here played Mickey's Magical Adventure? That game was hard as SHIT and fun as HELL.
No really it was that was a damn good game but it would be much better without the MICKEY MOUSE IN MAGICLAND C:

And another thing...

HOLY SHIT will you DROP IT with this "EA DISNEY WILL KILL ALL GOOD GAMES!!" bullshit!? Oh my God, you act like EA owns the universe right now.

Guitar Hero is published by Activision and is developed by a subsidiary of the company.

Rock Band is developed by Harmonix, which is owned by Viacom (MTV), and it is published by EA.

EA has absolutely NO SAY WHATSOEVER in ANY of the game content in either case. Their job is to take the money, press the discs for the various platforms, slap their logo on the media, and then ship them out.

I'm sure there will be plenty of objections involved though. Don't be surprised to see any attempts to reduce content not approved by the Disney franchise. Not like anything will develop in actuality though, like you said. Still, I rather not have Disney running a gaming central figure, even when Kingdom Hearts was a great game a lot of the times I played it.

Damn I just realized what I posted up there...

Anyway how would EA change anyway under Disney's supervision?

What? Did you not know Disney WAS involved with turok right? I'm pretty sure thats not teen.
