This is pretty much the final version of the map. I am definitely open to any geometry changes however those are temporarily on hold due to the fact that my trial of max ran out. Within a few weeks I will be able to purchase a student license. I at the moment cant run a test to the fact I have some pressing issues in my life right now. My x-fire is simply "dontu". All I ask is that you have fun!

Ok with that out of the way I d like to give the map a little lip service.

The map's design was inspired by the Halo 3 campaign, specifically the section where the Dawn makes it's dramatic arrival. This section of the map always struck me with a wonderful potential for fun multiplayer vehicle combat. This was the basic inspiration for this map's creation. I have run some open betas online and have found the map runs best with at minimum 6 players and is best with 16 because of the map's large scale. Also due to the map's large scale it is critical that vehicles respawn quickly and players be given the tools for both long range combat and vehicle destruction. The default player spawn is with a battle rifle and a sniper. The default vehicle spawns include ghosts, gauss hogs, normal warthogs, and scorpion tanks. The map supports all gametypes, however the gametype that I personally have had the most fun on is team slayer. The weapons on the map are primarily geared towards vehicle destruction, with 4 rockets on the map and ammo located in the center. Ill post a screen shot showing important weapons spawns a little later.

Sadly after running lightmaps on super the bellow is best it gets :/
-I didn't make these textures, they were created by Genetica

Looks very good. Use smoothing groups on your terrain to avoid harsh edges.

C+ (for the effort)

I did add smoothing groups which is weird, Im not sure exactly why the game is doing that. :/ The map actually looks better with the draft quality.

Could you say a little more about where it needs work?

Oh yeah! That sure helped him out a bunch! I'm sure he'll know what to fix now.
:suicide:

Anyway, the map looks nice. The smoothing could use some work where the ground meets the cliff, and the cliff textures aren't all that pretty, but overall it looks pretty cool.

That looks neat already, it just needs smoothing groups and fixed UV's

^that

Just fix up UVs, smoothing groups, change the geometry a bit in a few areas and it will look really cool.

Also, I think you need to run it on higher radiosity, but I may be mistaken.

If you can, try to see if you can edit the lightmaps, and use custom textures, halo 3 style'd landscapes with halo 2 textures and lighting, it looks nice though

Decent. The cliff shader looks like ass though.

Textures and you're smoothing groups need work. Other than that it looks like it would be a neat map to play on.

Thanks wanksta for the bump map Ill try it out. It does seem like the smoothing groups were causing those errors, I thought that I had set them correctly but I guess not, Thanks for the feed back. If you've played it Im thinking about adding some more rock outcroppings to the map to players more places to hold out while they dont have a vehicle. An thanks for the video Uchiha feel free to post it :) Thanks
