As promised (http://kotaku.com/5104230/simcity-iphone-impressions), EA have released SimCity upon Apple's App Store. Unsuspecting iPhone owners the world over are now downloading the game, unaware that...this may be an iPhone game that actually delivers.
Of course, a proper review of the game will (hopefully) be forthcoming, but I've been playing around with it all day and can report that it's SimCity, it looks good, and aside from a few bugs here and there it works.

The graphics look like SimCity 3000, the gameplay's closer to SimCity 2000, and everything you expect from the game - down to advisors, utilities and disasters - is in there.

If you're tempted, it'll set you back $10.

Shit, for only $10? I think I'll get it instead of a box of snickers for when its gonna be a while. Wonder how long it takes to drain the battery tho...

Fucking sweet. Seems a little bit hard to see tho. Even for a sim city game. If I had an iphone then I would definitely buy it.
