I dunno If this has been addressed yet but there's a problem with changing avatars right now. I get an "upload failed due to failure writing temporary file" error message.

@Haruhi: the uploader is shot
@Haruhi: hacker messed something up in there
+Syuusuke: who shot the sheriff

Ghost apparently fixed it; bad CHMOD permissions for the avatar directory.

I get the same error, it only happens when you try to paste a link. I'm positive it'll work if you download the image to your computer then upload it to the forum.

So it must be a user group problem if some people can upload and others can't?
InnerGoat

Uploading from website still doesn't work for me either.
Just copy and paste the images onto paint, save into your PC, then upload.

I can do that, but i can still bring to attention that it's not fixed yet and let them know of it and when it begins working again.

I believe there is a problem with the image resizer. I'm going to reinstall ImageMagick later and hopefully that will fix the problem(s).

Could you make it just a tad less picky?
It wouldn't let me use an image because it was 101x75, only one pixel over.

Well, you've got to draw the cut-off somewhere, and someone will always have an image one pixel wider than that...

So cut it down a pixel.

I'm not sure if this is related in cause, but I've noticed that occasionally the thumbnail feature for user albums fails as well.
TheGhost

Yes I believe it's related. There's still no tell-tale sign of what's going on.

I can't seem to upload attachments, either. I get a "File system directory is unwritable" error.
Seems like a permissions thing, but I don't know where...

UPDATE: Problem solved. Configuration issue with PHP and a couple directories didn't have correct permissions. I can up attachements now, album thumbnails work, auto avatar resizing, and selecting an off-site avatar to upload and use now works.

Thank you, p0lar, for fixing this problem.
I have rebuilt all of the album thumbnails to make the ones that were not generated because of the problem.
