With the help of GreatEmerald on the Epic Games forums I managed to whip up an Unreal Championship 2 announcer for UT2004. TOTALLY FUCKING BAD ASS ANNOUNCER.

Unfortunately UT3 doesn't support custom announcers, except probably through mutators, or else I would have done it for that instead.

Used my capture card to capture the audio from in-game. It's a good thing you can turn music and sound effects off

Compare the two, you'll know.

The original is a deep voiced dude talking where as the UC2 one has sort of an echoey-stereo effect going on, as well completely redone voice clips, much more energetic.

The Anthology (Unreal, Unreal: Return to Na Pali, Unreal 2: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament, Unreal Tournament 2004) is just thirty bucks. It doesn't have 2003, though unfortunately. But it comes with an audio CD with a bunch of Unreal music :D

I got Anthology for $5 at Gamestop. Brand new too. :D

Let's face it... if you have Unreal Tournament 2004 -- just create a custom server map list and boom, UT2003 :p

I did like the character announcements in 2003 though. All you get in 2004 is MMMMMMMMISTER CROW!!!

Also Jesus I should have checked around before I got it at Gamestop a few months back, I payed like thirty bucks :(

Probably because nobody likes fast paced shooters anymore :(

Ironsights and the Halo crawl seem to be where it's at
