I need help solving a problem.
The problem: My video comes out of sync with my audio. It looks like the video is encoded faster then the audio.
Example 1: Fraping a Halo game for a few minutes. The audio quickly comes out of sync and it is horrible.
Example 2: Encoding a DVD to Ipod format. If the video is short like 10 minutes it is fine. 1.5 hour movie it is about 1 -2 seconds out of sync by the end.
Example 3: Burning a video to a DVD. A long video like 2 hours. Same problem with Example 2.
I have a handful of video codecs that I downloaded. I don't know what they are... I can tell you tomorrow. I have no problems view videos from the source. Like DVDs or videos from my camera. But if I encode them, bad things happen.
My google reseach says it is the something with the inconsistancy timing with the video frames. But I don't know how to fix it. Please help.
Edit: Yes, I turn off every resource running in the back ground and I increase its improtance with the task manager. It doesn't matter much on the resolution of the video either. Also, I never come close to peaking my memory or cpu during it...
Comp specs:
AMD 3700+ X2
1.5 gig
6800GS
