Anyone ever had it or know someone who went through it? Supposedly, there's a big risk of eye damage. Does it really work?

I'd prefer crystal/diamond retina replacements for enhanced super vision...

Holy crap it does!lol. I would like to have eyes that you can change where it freaks people out. Like you just sit there, turn your head, and your eyes go like freaking crazy and crap and they're all like "OSHI!" and run away. I would laugh my ass off.

Anyways, I'm really wondering about Lasik. I heard it doesn't last forever, but never really knew if that was true. I'm also licensed as someone who must where prescription lenses when I drive and I don't know the side effects with Lasik on some lights and shit.

Contacts are annoying as hell, why do you think most people never bother with them?

mostly because people are too scared to touch there eye... people who think they are annoying never tried them.

if you have good, clean contacts, you don't even feel them.

Lasik will only correct for shortsightedness or farsightedness, not both. If you get it corrected for nearsightedness, you'll be farsighted, and have to wear reading glasses. It's one or the other.

Contacts are great, but I wouldn't mind doing some LASIK eye surgery when my eyes stop changing prescription. The technology has evolved so much there's minimum risk for eye damage.

Proud user of contacts since end of September.

I wasn't scared of touching my eye, it's just my body is used to reacting to objects touching my eye...

And now that I'm used to fingering my eye D: I can put on my contacts without a problem, just gotta remember to keep my fingers clean and the contacts too.

I've never had any trouble touching my eye; I can give it a fucking massage. I <3 my contacts.
