Which Ak-47 Clip should I use. I am meaning which design should I use where the spring pushes the bullet into the barrel?

1 is an ak-47 mag
2 is a .22 trainer
3 is not an ak-47 mag, but likely a clone in a different caliber and meant for marksman role.

Magazine :eng101:
What is this for? The middle one looks like it has a magazine in a magazine first of all, like its converted to shoot some other caliber or some shit. Last one looks like it's for an svd or something

Okay, weapon expert has told me what is what, so I will use "1". Seems as it is a AK-47 magazine.

#1 is clearly plastic. The walls are thicker and the shape isn't quite right. I'd suggest finding a real metal one to use as a modeling reference.

It's not too thick, and looks to be bakelite.

Really? You'll see it for a split second and won't really notice. I suppose you want it 100% correct though, I commend that, as long as you stick to that with the whole gun.

Number 1 is the only "AK-47" magazine there. Snaf pointed out the differences in the other ones, though the first one is a hard-plastic based magazine.

Even though the 1st one is the right one, the second one does look cooler.

There aren't enough ribs on No. 3 for it to be an AK magazine.

This is an original 7.62x39mm "slabside" Soviet magazine. Personally, I like these.

Typical Soviet 7.62x39mm magazine. Notice it has three ribs and then a groove, versus the two ribs and groove of No. 3 in the first post.

I got the pictures from a google search on "AK-47 Clips". I don't know if I will make it ALL 100% because the references differ, even though they are the same weapon there are different versions of each type.

Typical Soviet 7.62x39mm magazine. Notice it has three ribs and then a groove, versus the two ribs and groove of No. 3 in the first post.To clarify, the top one is the original AK-47 magazine. The bottom one is used on the AKM, the "modernized" version of the AK.

MAGAZINE. A CLIP is used to LOAD a magazine.
The thing on the top here is a clip. The clip is attached to the magazine and the bullets are slid off the clip into the magazine.

That's how magazine gets referred to clip all the time was because in WWII they used stripper clips to load the magazines of bolt action rifles which were nothing but none removable steel chambers to house the bullets.
