Bungie allows anyone to freely download a copy of any series of Marathon. It is legal.

This link generates serial codes for Marathon games, for free. It was recently released by Bungie. Due to that it is hard to find a serial code for any of the Marathon games. This is also legal.

This is very old, but still tons of fun. This may be a better method though:

^Go to that link, download one of the files marked under the Easy-to-install zip packages bullet. There you can just download the files, extract the folder to wherever, then place the source code in the folder:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/marathon/
^Link to source codes. Just place the Aleph One source code under the folders of the Marathons you download.
This is not illegal.

I personally prefer Aleph One, but this looks like it may be a bit easier to install.
(Aleph One, with all 3 Marathon games [for mac, pc, and linux] : source.bungie.org/get (http://source.bungie.org/get) )
Aleph One also works with OpenGL as well as software, and is compatible with high-rez texture packs (which I don't use- the shotgun looks...bad.)

Check out Marathon Red on that site. It's creepy as FFFFUCK.

You need to have the AlephOne EXE in the specific game's root folder. Like, download Marathon: Infinity and put the AlephOne EXE in the folder and run it.

I played through Marathon RED, and I never really got it.
"I have to bomb the aliens!"
"No, Marine Guy. You are the aliens."
Then Marine Guy was an alien.
wut
Although in honesty, I skipped around the levels to see what it was about, as I couldn't really commit time to play through it all the way. Still didn't make sense when I tried to play any level that would give me insight.
My favorite Marathon TC, out of the many, is Rubicon. I seriously thought it was the succesor to Infinity as a kid. There's so much detail, awesome reimagination of the weapons and enemies, wonderful textures, and the forked storyline made it the most fun TC I've ever played for it. Give it a try if you're actually interested in playing Marathon.

Had this on my old computer before it crashed. Never bothered to play more than the first level though. Might install it again, if I have the patience to figure out how to do it again.

Sorry, it's just out of all the extensions I have ever seen, this is a new one for me.

Ignore the quality. Had to take this screenshot at my neighbors house because my PC is acting up.

Where did you download these from? I think you may have downloaded the wrong files. Go here: http://source.bungie.org/get/
Download any Marathon scenario you want to play, then download Aleph One for windows, and place the AlephOne.exe in the folder of the scenario you downloaded, and run the exe. If you need any more help contact me on Xfire: mc365

Yeah, it scares the heck out of me. I jump every time one of the slashers come out of hiding.

I actually can't get past the first actual level. That's how difficult it is to me, not to mention scares me half to death whenever I play it.

.sit is a file openable only with Stuffit Expander. You can probably download a trial version of it. I know about it because of my Mac days, it's the primary thing people download on Mac for opening .rar files.
