I'm not a huge horror movie fan either, probably won't see this either. The trailers looked fucked, the ads looked fucked, and from what I see, the movie ripped off that episode of the venture bro's where Dr Venture's brother who he ate in the womb comes back to try and kill him :downs:

The first thing I thught when I heard of a movie called "The Unborn" was that it was some sort of disguised anti-abortion propaganda.
>_>
What's with pathetic movie names now anyway? "The Happening" wtf, could it possibly be any more vague?

Isnt this movie rated PG-13? If it is, I highly doubt its any good.

I haven't seen any commercials for it in FL. Haven't even heard of it until now.
When I first had a look at this thread, I thought it would be about abortions...

The scare factors can be compared to those in silent hill 4 if you've ever played the game. Things in the movie were just fucked up. The primary one being the dog.
They explained that in norse mythology a dog was a symbol of death. In the movie the dybbuk represented itself on many occasions wearing some sort of mask, I believe a book in the movie showed this too, but in one scene the dog is shown with its head upside down with jet black eyes licking its chops, this just sent shivers down my spine.
I need to do more research on the demon in the movie. R or not, the movie freaked me out.

Funny Games, the 2007 remake by the same director as the 1997.
Watched it yesterday, and after renting out almost every thriller movie at my local video store over the past 2 years I have to say, this is the creepiest god dam film I've ever seen.

That's how they lure you into watching those movies to find out just what is the hell they are about. These guys know what they do.

America is slowly losing its originality wit movies. All the horrors now are either remakes, reincarnations, or conversions of Japanese horror flicks only good in Japanese. They're remaking Friday the 13th for crying out loud. *facepalm*

Just like every other horror movie released these days, Rotten Tomatoes hates it.

Consensus: David Goyer's Unborn is a tame genre effort with cheap thrills and scares that border on silliness.
