Even though it was still in the early stages, this is what Free Radical was working on : Star Wars Battlefront 3.

I'm sad that this will never get finished, well, unless somebody else takes the project on, which I dearly hope.

God I hope that's picked up by someone else. Loved Battlefront 2 to pieces and that looked brilliant. :woot:

The Venator class Star Destroyer still didn't have its hanger in the correct place though :mad:...

I thought the second was better, but I liked the original Hoth more. Also, Bespin Platforms was win.

Cutscenes look awesome. This probably won't be picked up considering these days low risk opportunities are favored over originialitiy.

WTF!!! Those gameplay and cutscene videos are EPIC!!! Holy Shit. If that's what Free Radical was doing, I'd rather have them make the game instead of Pandemic.

Uh, honestly this would be a low risk game. Its a sequel, and the first two have been great.

so is it just me or did i notice actual aiming? kind of link gears of war but alot faster paced. hell, id buy it. i loved the 2nd one. wampas ftw lol

The way everything ran so smooth as if it was some kind of GoW/Traditional Battlefront game was amazing. Both battlefront games ran great but they didn't feel right. The graphics weren't anything spectacular and I don't care if they are with BFIII but damn, I just loved the mechanics of what was shown. The starfighter parts were soo sick too. ZOMG i my slit my wrists. (Remember: down the road, not across the street)

Movement wasn't smooth and felt constrained due to the limited engine for both games, however they both still played well.

I'd certainly love to see a Battlefront 3, it may just be a 1 or 2 but it would be an extremely polished 1 or 2 and that's all you really need. The first two were so good all the games needed were polishing of the engine. Battlefront 3 looks like it has done that. However we have to wait for someone to pick the project up.

The video for Battlefront III looks like it was made on the same engine as Force Unleashed. I love it.

Looks nice, but I hope it's a lot easier to last and find enemies during a battle on land. Those Gorgons also pissed me off whenever I fought them. >:(

I'm talking about getting into your X-Wing on the planet, flying up into the sky, flying a bit more and then being in space. Then, hyper-spacing to Endor. Yes, that's possible in BF2.

But there's also other sources claiming Pandemic will be completing BF3. I wouldn't believe anything until a solid announcement is made.

And Amit, I've never heard of anything like that in BF2. Not the vanilla game or with mods...

I'm serious. I downloaded my custom maps from http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com

I don't remember which map it was since I haven't played the game in over a year but if a good set of people have it for the PC somebody should start up a server. Those awesome 40 player battles were epic. Also, if this game is intended to be completed, they should have a beta like they did with Battlefront 2. It was a closed beta but somehow I was able to get a public key from Fileplanet and join in on the action.
