View Full Version : So I heard there's this thing called divorce

And my parents have too :(

That said, I'm not really bummed about them separating, I could see it coming for a long time, but still, it's hard to hear about. Then the court system is fuckin lopsided imo in that my mother is the one who wants the divorce, and my dad is going to have to pay HER child support and support for herself so that she can continue to live "a comfortable life."

Makes me rage deep down inside, but since I can't type it out coherently, I'll leave it at this for now.

The court system is completely lop-sided and unjustified in what it does to men. IMO men are victimized by the court system in divorce cases. Women get so much out of it, in order to continue a comfortable life style. Women who seek divorce without the cause being such an overbearing issue such as getting another woman pregnant shouldn't be so lavishly rewarded.

Good luck with it all, though. In due time everyone will have mended their wounds and you all can get on with life.

Sorry to hear it, sadly its becoming the norm thing. Where I used to live, the school at the end of the road, a boy got bullied because he was different, as his parents were still married, everyone elses had got divorced. Pretty fucked up imo.

But yeah, in every divorce case I've heard about from my friends, it was stupidly lopsided towards the mother, even when they had equal custody.

Shit man, you too? My parents are getting a divorce right now, too... It sucks real bad. I should have seen it coming, though...
Basically, my dad found a new job 2 hours away, so he moved out and only came to visit on weekends. When I was there, a girl called from his "work" (Who, as I later found out, doesn't work there). A few weeks later, she was visiting, I walked in and saw them kissing WHILE HE WAS STILL FUCKING MARRIED TO MY MOM.
Told my mom, now they're in the process of getting a divorce. Fucking sucks because they're at each others throats 24/7...

Friend of mines parent got a d-vorce not too long ago. Basically he got all "I hate my life" ish and started bawwwwwing all the time. Then he got really annoying and pretty much all of his friends stopped wanting to hang out with him.

Don't do that.

Divorces. Yeowch.

My parents had a divorce ten years ago. My father is just now getting remarried (for ten years I couldn't speak about loving my stepfather nor my brother).

Tough shit, this happens to so many people it's not even worth noting. My parents got divorced when I was 9, and the divorce lasted 3 years. My Dad makes 250k, but I haven't seen him in like 8 years. Throughout this time he hasn't payed any child support, and I've been without medical insurance. (so I can't go to the doctor for anything) My moms also a stupid manipulative bitch, and I hate her with a passion. Now I'm living in a 70 year old house with her second husband, an electrician. (who I actually like...)

Point is, shit happens, and in comparison to something like getting your leg chopped off, life is pretty good.

Just be happy there both still alive, thats all I can really say.

Tbh I can't really say anything else I've never had to deal with it but I did have to deal with my mom dieing in child birth when I was 11, so yea... Divorce kind of just pisses me off, because from my point of view I look at it kind of like what a fuken waste of life, is it that hard to get along with someone or are you really that stubborn.

is it that hard to get along with someoneActually yes. Stress is overwhelming, coming from a guy with divorced parents since I was 5, in custody of my mom WHO CONSTANTLY BITCHES ALL THE TIME!!!! This is how drugs in teens as stress relievers come into equation but let's not discuss that. I vow to never marry a woman like that.

Too bad half the time, more likely than not, you won't know she's like that until it's too late
