What should I set my two ports in game to when running a dedicated server. I remember there were 2 specific numbers you set them to, but I forgot what those numbers were.

Depends on what you set the deds port to, you can use a command line switch for the server to set the port to whatever you like, like 'haloceded.exe' -port x, where x=some number, lets say 2000+. Maybe you need to open a port on your router as well, UDP protocol. If you dont use 2302 for the server you can leave the game on default ports.

Nope.

To run a dedicated server on your own pc and join it on the same pc set your ports to 2203 and 2204.

when I used to run dedicated servers 2302 - 2303 worked fine :|

... you can use the default ports when hosting a dedi and still play on your own computer.

Just change your in game ports in the network settings inside the game... Not that hard.
