school was cancled today and yesterday due to "bad weather." Everyone is driving like 20 below, and the ground is WET. There was ice on the road this morning at about 7, but it was gone when I got up at 10

Actually icicles are very common in February, but ice storms like these only happen once a year or two, and we freak out over them because of it. Snow down here is a 1 inch slush that compacts dog turds on the side of the street into dangerous shrapnel from the ice. What mainly make sit so cold down here is the fucking wind chill, I would be perfectly fine without the wind.
