Some funky idea for an ARG iirc.

Some of them are kind of cool; I believe SciFi had a miniseries based (or at least very similar) to this.

Nope, it was something about some room that held 20-someodd objects that all had magical powers, but they were let loose or taken by people and this one guy has to go collect them or something to save his spoiled brat whore child.

Makes a ton of sense.
