From what I gathered, the Cylons came from Earth after a nuclear holocaust and settled the 13 colonies, and the scriptures just got it backwards...

But that starts this summer, long way away. *I dunno, I think it's going to be a rip-off of a lot of shows, cause it wont be with star gates, cause they weren't invented yet in the time line. :P*

It will have Stargates. Think like the begining of Atlantis, where they gate in, only to find that they can't gate back to Earth. Now add them being stuck in a ship, with nowhere else to dial. That will be Stagate Universe.

Actually I don't think so at all. Think more like Star Trek actually. It was made to fill in that "in spaceship" feel that both Star Trek and Battlestar had. Since Battlestar ended this year it's meant to fill in that niche that it filled. And from what I've heard, it's not going to be a Battlestar rip-off.
